Murder Mimosas TellTale Tavern Mysteries Book 2 edition by Megan Marple Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks
I read the first book of the series Gin and Ghosts and was not too thrilled by it. I was encouraged by the author to give the 2nd book Murder and Mimosas a try. I have to say the 2nd book is much better than the 1st book. Edie is much more tolerable. In fact I got to know her a little better in the 2nd book. We get to know more of her background, along with the other characters like Tia which was not explained in the 1st book. Same characters in the previous book is here, plus we get introduced to some new ones too. Edie's witty nature was in fact witty this time around and didn’t feel so rough. I was able to read the book and not hate the main character. In fact, Edie was quite acceptable. I am glad I read the 2nd book. Her relationship with her boss Ben is delightful. And I do hope the relationship grows into something more. I think Edie would be much happier and be more laid back once she starts getting some, you know what I mean? Her pet raven Poe is in this book but not too much, her ghostly gift seems to be evolving. A couple of twists but still predictable to me, I knew right off the bat who the killer was. There are still a lot of typos but not so bad I could not follow the story.**There is an error in chapter 2 where character A was already in the tavern giggling with character B, but later on in the same chapter, Character A walks into the tavern looking rather hurried....It was so confusing to me, didn't know if the names got mixed up during the editing? **
Pros
Edie’s character is more acceptable
Author’s writing so much better.
There is an enjoyable storyline here, a beginning, middle and an end.
A clean, easy, light-hearted read. A true cozy mystery.
Cons
Only the typos – but not like the first book, you can still follow along pretty well with the story.
I give the book 4 stars. This is a good cozy mystery.
I received an advanced copy to read and this is my honest review.

Murder Mimosas TellTale Tavern Mysteries Book 2 edition by Megan Marple Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
Delightful and witty tale with good characters centred around the cavern that Edie runs. I volunteered to read an advance copy for an honest review
Edie Allen is back, and I'm so glad she is! This is a great book that kept me engrossed until the end. I love the characters and the way they interact with each other. Megan Marple is a fantastic author, and I'm looking forward to more books in this series.
Megan really knows how to spin a tail
and keep you guessing what is going to happen next.
The characters are well developed and the plot of the book
is fantastic there are a few twist and turns you don't see coming.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
All Edie wants is her family tavern back. After Ben finds the body of Daphne, Edie does all she can to c l ear Ben's name and get him off the suspect list. More ghosts pop up and between running ragged working at the tavern and trying to figure out what the new ghosts are trying to tell her, Edie is wearing down. Didn't see the twist coming at the end. I voluntarily received an an advanced copy copy of this book book for a honest review
Another great book by Megan Marple! Yet another murder for Edie and Ben to figure out. The emotions between these two are amazing and delightful. Edie's abilities are wonky or are they evolving? Throw in a few twists and turns and you have a great installment in this new series. I can't wait to see what happens next!
This was a good read for me. The writing flowed well, and I liked the story. The same characters from the first book carried over, Edie, Ben, Poe, and the rest of the crew. There were a few errors that I noticed, like Edie going to use the key to get into the upstairs apartment, when Ben took it from her in the last book when she snooped up there before. There was another, but it's kind of a spoiler so I won't go into it. Overall, I enjoyed the story, and I will finish the series.

I definitely liked this book better than the first two. You have murder, ghosts, a raven and mayhem. All I can say for a pretty quiet island, except for the tourist, there seems to be a lot of murder. Teehee!!! Between trying to keep the Tell-Tale running and solving crimes Edie is back. She was not as whiny and rude as she was in Gin & Ghosts, Ben and Edie seem to have found a way to work together. Megan Marple wrote a simple, fun and engrossing murder mystery. She kept me guessing as to who did it. That is saying something since I can usually pick the murderer out pretty early in the story. There is no over the top violence and no sex, if this is what you are looking for this is not for you. If you are looking for fun, humor and a who done it, then in my opinion it is worth reading. In my opinion Megan Marple did not disappoint me. I received an ARC edition for my honest and voluntary review.
